Breakfast at Barney’s Coffeeshop
Start your day at Barney’s Coffeeshop at 7 am. Tuck in a breakfast of bacon and eggs. Smoke a joint afterwards while reading the morning papers. Barney’s is the only coffeeshop that sells a full Irish breakfast at this time of day (Barney’s is Irish owned). No need to come so very early because you can have your breakfast until 4 pm.
Barney’s consists of four outlets: the Coffeeshop, the Farm, Uptown and the Lounge. All are popular with the expat community and locals, but tourists have also found their way to Haarlemmerstraat. The Coffeeshop is the Heart of Barney Empire. Barney’s Farm is at number 98, and just across the street is Barney’s Uptown.
Barney’s farm is the ideal place to chill out or to buy seeds to grow your own. Get one of their keyrings, peaked caps or T-shirts as a permanent reminder of your visit.
Barney’s Uptown does not sell weed, but you can smoke all you want. Get your supply from Barney’s Coffeeshop. Whether you have a draught beer, an exotic coctail, a three-course meal or smoke a joint over a cappuccino, Uptown is Amsterdam’s most stoner-friendly place.
