Celebrate the Cold at the Sydney Winter Festival

I know I’m not the only who’s felt that chill in the air. The way I see it, you’ve got two choices. You can bitch and moan about the weather, or you can embrace it. That’s where next week’s Sydney Winter Festival comes in.

This festival takes the winter concept and turns it up to eleven, with a healthy dose of European fun. Put your skates on and enjoy the outdoor rink in the heart of the CDB, do a spot of curling, or watch an alpine film like the Hahnenkamm Downhill Race in the outdoor cinema.

You’re bound to feel a little frozen, but you can warm up with roasted chestnuts, Austrian Germknoedel, some strudel, or a delicious mix of potatoes, ham, noodles, eggs, and onion they call Grostel.

Kids are catered for too, with a downhill skiing simulator and some adorable baby goats to play with! On second thought, adults will probably love those too!
