Concerts at Red Rocks

Another favorite spot of ours, is Red Rocks. We discovered it after only a week of living in this beautiful state of Colorado. I can’t even count how many times we have been there to hike on the trails, walk up and down the steps of the amphitheater and explore the visitor’s center. But there is one thing we have yet to experience and that’s a concert there.

I have heard the concerts at Red Rocks are phenomenal and that it is something we have to do. Sounds good to me! It is on my list of things to do this summer and I will definitely let you know how my experience was. I’ve been told Depeche Mode is coming on August 27th and man does that take me back to my teenage years! Yes, I am dating myself, but who cares.

I checked the schedule and Red Rocks is full of concerts this summer. They have everything from a John Denver tribute and Celtic Woman to Journey with Heart and an ABBA tribute.

You can purchase tickets via TicketMaster.com and on the right hand column they have some good information for those planning a concert visit. For example, they have information about wheelchair access, general rules and items that are permitted into the area.

How to get there [map]:

From the North-
Take Interstate-70 West to the Morrison exit (#259). Turn left and travel South 1.5 miles to the park entrance.

From the South-
Take Highway 285 to C470. Take the Morrison exit and travel West to the park entrance.
