Visit the West Coast Railway Heritage Park
If trains are your thing, check out the West Coast Railway Heritage Park at Squamish B.C. (see map link) There’s over 60 vintage railway cars and locomotives displayed at the New Squamish Station. The station was designed in 1915 but not built until 2000. You can visit the heritage home once occupied by a railway conductor and his family, sit in a fully restored 1890 railway car, climb aboard cabooses and locomotives. There’s even a miniature railway to delight the youngsters.
There are picnic areas and playgrounds and a lunch bar and gift shop. Make it an afternoon outing with the family.
