Ladysmith Black Mambaza

South Africa Celebrates with Ladysmith Black Mambaza the legendary South African Group that started with humble beginning and now celebrate their third Grammy Award for Best Traditional World Music Album for their latest album called ILembe; Honouring Shaka Zulu. Ladysmith Black Mambazo

They were established in 1964 by the lead singer Joseph Shabalala and todate the group has produced over 50 albums. They have performed with other award winning artists such as Paul Simons on his award winning album called Graceland.

The Group so far has been nominated for 13 grammies which is the most for any South African group.  Ladysmith Black Mamaza has performed all over the world at a variety of high profile events but are still proudly South African.

Since 1994 the South African Music Industry has boomed and we have celebrated with many other award winning artists and bands. Personally I believe that there is great potential in both the music industry and so many other sectors of society.

They stand tall amongst world renown award winning artists such as Cold Play, Alison Krauss, Robert Plant and that is just naming a few. Ladysmith Black Mambazo  They are truly an iconic figure in the South African Music industry and their music!
