Vegas New Joint Brings in Top Names Through September

Vegas’ newest major rock and roll venue, The New Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, announces its schedule through the summer.  The state-of-the-art performance stage offers everything from comedy to rap to traditional rock bands. 

In addition to the New Joint concerts, the Poolside Concert Series begins on Friday, May 29th at 9 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.) and features the funk metal, pop, alternative rocker double platinum album band Sugar Ray, best known for “Fly”, from the double platinum album Floored.  Other notable songs include “Every Morning,” “Someday,” and “When It’s Over”.

Jamie Foxx will bring his Intuition Tour to The Joint this summer with two shows over the July 4th weekend.
With Intuition, Foxx is striving to create a state-of-the-art R&B album that will solidify his place among music’s elite. The album features an astonishing list of guest stars, truly the biggest names in urban music—Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, T-Pain, T.I. (who spices up the album’s first single, “Just Like Me”), plus production by such hit machines as Tricky and The Dream, Timbaland, and Just Blaze. “We were trying to be like the Yankees, trying to get the best,” says Foxx.

Multi-platinum Epic recording artist, Incubus is bringing its hard rocking sound to The New Joint this summer.  The Vegas play is part of the Monuments and Melodies Summer Tour which kicks off two days earlier in their home state of California. Opening up for Incubus will be UK rock band The Duke Spirit.
The summer tour is in support of the release of MONUMENTS AND MELODIES, a two disc collection of the band’s greatest hits and rarities, on June 16. The collection is a must have for fans of the band whose extraordinary career has spanned over a decade, has spawned twelve Top 10 hits – four of those landing at # 1, and six studio albums, the last being Light Grenades which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200, marking the highest charting album debut of the band’s career.

Alternative band Rise Against will be joined by punk rock legends Rancid and new rockers Billy Talent for their summer show inside the all new Joint.
Rise Against released their fifth studio album, Appeal To Reason, on DGC/Interscope Records last fall and it debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart as well as spending one week at # 1 on the iTunes album chart. First single, “Re-Education (Through Labor),” was a top 2 hit at modern rock radio and new single “Audience Of One” is poised to top the charts as well.

Music legends Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago have reunited for a 30-city national co-headlining summer concert tour and will be making a stop at The new Joint.  Each band will perform a full set, and the two bands will come together both at the beginning of the night and for a final set that features both bands onstage together.

Mötley Crüe, along with some of rock’s top touring acts, will hit the road again this summer for Crüe Fest 2. 
Mötley Crüe will perform the entire album, Dr. Feelgood, from beginning to end at Crüe Fest 2 in addition to their hits. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Dr. Feelgood, which became the Crüe’s first #1 album on the Billboard charts.  Joining the Crüe will be grammy-nominated heavy metal band, Godsmack, post-grunge band, Theory of a Deadman, alternative metal band, Drowning Pool and rock band, Charm City Devil’s.

Known as Latin America’s Bob Dylan, Guatemalan singer and songwriter Ricardo Arjona, like his famous American counterpart, is known around the world for his socially conscious and heartfelt folk ballads and rock tunes. Playing in a variety of styles that combine traditional South American folk music with rock, hip-hop, and classical music, Arjona sings about subjects ranging from faded love to social inequities.
The Latin sensation has won two Grammy Awards from three nominations including 2007 Best Latin Pop Album and 2006 Best Male Pop Vocal Album, both for his album Adentro (2005).

Signing on as the first rock and roll resident artist in Las Vegas, Carlos Santana brings his legendary talent to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino through a multi-year deal with AEG Live.  Through 2010, The Joint will be the only place west of the Mississippi where fans can see Santana perform. Titled to pay homage to his most successful body of work to date, Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits debuts on Wednesday, May 27 and features the artist’s signature fusion sound in a show designed exclusively for the new venue.

Los Lonely Boys is a Grammy Award-winning rock band consisting of three brothers that combines elements of rock and roll, blues, country and soul.  In 2003, their debut album, Los Lonely Boys, was recorded at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales recording studio.  The boys released their eagerly awaited sophomore album, Sacred, in 2006. Forgiven followed in 2008, which also saw the release of a holiday album, Christmas Spirit. Opening will be 3-time Grammy Award winning rock band, Los Lobos.

Collective Soul was formed in the early 90’s by principal songwriter Ed Roland.  The hard rock group went on to produce the hit song “Shine” became a modern rock staple.  Collective Soul found themselves thrust into the limelight, playing everywhere from arenas with Aerosmith to Woodstock 1994.  Most recently, the band released the 2007 album Afterwords.
