Nights at MACBA Museum ! For Just Thee Euros!

The MACBA is staying up late, which is good because come summertime, so is the rest of the city. In Barcelona it is just too darn hot and humid to sleep most nights, and when the sun goes down locals prefer to take to the streets and enjoy a bit of fresh cool night air.

MACBA NIGHTS

MACBA NIGHTS

Now these night-ramblers can pop over to Barcelona’s MACBA Museum until midnight Thursdays and Fridays. MACBA has a special exhibition on now showing various parts of its collection dating back to the 1950′s. While it is not my cup of tea necessarily, (see earlier post) I do like the building and think that a night out at the Museum and then off for dinner or drinks would be a fun way to spend a Thursday night. Talk about a creative date!….and a cheap date! It’s just €3.50 if you go after 8pm.

Even at this late hour visitors can join the guided tour of the museum where some knowledgeable soul will fill folks in on the mysterious works of Hans Haacke, Pablo Palazuelo, and Gego.

May 15th-September 18th

Thursdays and Fridays until midnight.

Where: MACBA, Plaça dels Angels, 1(Raval) – Barcelona
