Confederations Cup 2009 – South Africa

As a prelude to the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup the Confederations cup is coming to South Africa.  Traditionally the it is seen as a build up to the Soccer World Cup so as of the 14 June 2009 to the 28 June 2009.

The cities that will be hosting the Confederations Cup are the exact same cities that will be hosting games during the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup. They will be Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Johannesberg’s Ellis Park Stadium, Rustenberg’s Royal Bafokeng Stadium and Bloemfontein’s Free State Stadium.

Sadly they will not be in Cape Town but that does not mean that Soccer lovers will skip this vibrant city. We are  peparing for an influx of visitors during this period cause face it you cannot visit South Africa and not visit the city that never sleeps or the most iconic South African sites such as Table Mountain, Robben Island and the amazing Cape Winelands.

USA, Eqypt, Iraq, Italy, Brazil and the Host Nation South Africa are the National teams that will be participating in this years Confederations Cup. In addition to these teams the winners of the UEFA and the OFC will be joining in on all the fun and games.Green Point Stadium Under Costruction in Cape Town View of Green Point Stadium from Signal Hill
