Seattle Kicks Off Summer with Folklife Festival

Summer officially kicks off this Memorial Day Weekend with the annual Folklife Festival, one of the nation’s largest community arts festival, and a Seattle staple for 38 years.

Northwest Folklife at Seattle Center If you enjoy music and dance, love to play, sing, learn, taste and explore – you’ll LOVE Folklife with its hundreds of performances and interactive activities.  You’ll find concerts, dancing, activities for kids of all ages, story telling, food vendors, art, and lots of good Seattle cheer, as the city bands together in this multicultural party that lasts the entire weekend.

Date & Time: Memorial Day Weekend, May 22nd – 25th, 2009, 11 am –10 pm daily.  Rain or Shine!

Admission: FREE, but please donate if possible.  Donations help keep the festival going.

Please use public transportation, walk, or carpool, and make continue in the Folklife tradition of making this a green event.
