Waterfront Fun at Seattle Maritime Festival
Seattle puts its maritime prowess on display this weekend with the annual Seattle Maritime Festival.
Saturday’s Family Fun Day is always a big treat, and the highlight is the Tugboat Races. These are the largest Tugboat Races in the World = with over
40 boats expected to participate. The race starts at the Grain Terminal at Pier 86, with the finish line at Pier 62/63. Tugboat festivities start at noon, with displays and demonstrations, then the races following.
This family event is always a favorite, and there is sun in the forecast, so it promises to be a GREAT day to be on the waterfront.
Other popular Maritime Festival events include the Waterfront Chowder Cook-Off, the 10th Annual Stories of the Sea Poetry Contest, and all sorts of other tours and displays that showcase our maritime industry. Get the festival schedule of events and plan your day.
