Eco Tours in Cape Town

Eco Tourism is one of the most popular forms of tourism in the Western Cape and sometimes not in the usual way.

Yes you can go on Safari in Cape Town but you can also get up close and personal with a variety of animals such as baboon’s, hippos and an array of antelopes and be totally safe.

Most of the nature reserves and national parks have a variety of great activities such as walks, kayaking, river trips, secret viewing huts, night expeditions, hikes just to name a few. We enjoy spending time exploring new areas and also experiencing those close encounter with wildlife.

For example you can take a lovely walk / hike in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and encounter eland, zebra, ostrich, tortoise, loads of birds, bugs, flowers but most importantly you are not in a zoo you are seeing these animals in their natural habitat which makes it soo much more precious.

One of the greatest things in eco tourism is knowing that you are assisting to create employment for a local resident. Many of the locals have benefited from eco tourism as they have been trained as guides, monitors, field assistants, rangers etc. So while you are living your African dream their becoming sustainable.
