Manny Pacquiao to Pitch for San Francisco Giants
Next Tuesday, April 21, 2009 is the celebration of Filipino American Heritage hosted by the San Francisco Giants. One of the highlights is the ceremonial first pitch that will be thrown by Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. The game against the San Diego Padres will be at the AT&T Park at 7:15 p.m.
Lefty Manny can throw a mean punch so he should be able to pack power behind the pitch, don’t you think? No problem for him, I’m sure. If you plan to watch a game and get a special Filipino Heritage ticket, you’ll get also receive a limited edition Manny Pacquiao bobblehead, (which might be a collector’s item someday, eh?) and a seat in a special section. Some of the proceeds will benefit Filipino organizations, including ABS-CBN Foundation’s Bantay Bata program.
