King Tutankhamun Makes a Stop in Munich
Landing upon the throne at age 8, Egyptian King Tutankhamun ruled for a mere 10 years, which, let’s face it, what can you really do as king at the age of 8? Even at his tender age, the proverbial “boy king” achieved a lot during his short reign. This kid even had a wife and possibly two children! Of course, during his early years, he was greatly led by his advisers, but over all, he restored the peace and harmony which his uncle’s reign had taken away. It is still uncertain how he died, some propose an infection following a broken leg, while others hold fast to various theories surrounding foul play.
For a boy king, Tutankhamun was buried with all of the necessary “bling” and then some. The treasures that were discovered within his tomb have fascinated archeologists to children and everyone in between.
King Tutankhamun and his treasures are making a stop in Munich and will be calling the city home for the upcoming months, until he’s packed up and sent somewhere else in August. Located at the Event Arena in Olympia Park, you’ll find tickets at 16€ for adults and 8€ for children. The prices do go up by 3€ on weekends and bank holidays. Go and take advantage of this fabulous exhibition.
You can find more information on the exhibition by following this link. The information is in English as well!

I keep reading that the exhibition is entirely made up of replicas…in fact yours is the only description saying otherwise. Just trying to figure out if it’s worth the 16 euro entrance fee.
