Ivan Kane’s Café Wa s (this is not a typo)
Trendsetting entrepreneur, native New Yorker, and lover of all things Broadway, Ivan Kane is the name behind (and in) such successful nightclubs as Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce at Mandalay Bay and Casino in Las Vegas.
In Hollywood, at the illustrious corner of Sunset and Vine, Ivan Kane’s Café Wa s (no typo!) is a bi-level Bohemian-Broadway-style supper club that offers Los Angeles residents and visits a foray into a theatrical experience with signature cocktails, delectable dining, and glamorous ambiance.
Two hundred patrons can be accommodated in the café’s chic interior that offers seating in large and small areas, a grand staircase leading nowhere, velvet curtains, lavish candlelight, and a revolving 1924 Mason and Hamlin grand piano.
Gourmet dining and imbibing includes such diverse offerings as canapés and caviar ($25 for the American red pearl; $200 for Beluga), onion soup au gratin ($9), and the signature bistro burger (9-ounce sirloin burger topped with prosciutto, brie and a quail egg sunny-side up ($15).
Best yet, Ivan Kane’s Café Wa s is offering its own Stimulus Plan: bottomless carafes of white and red table wine with purchase of an entree (available nightly, $15 per person); four-course prix-fixe “Bohemian Feasts” (available Sundays through Wednesdays, $30 per person); and other budget-friendly specials.
