Tri Active Family

IF you are coming over to Cape Town on a Family holiday then nestled in the heart of the Elgin / Grabouw Valley you will find Tri Active which is a haven for all nature lovers, families or anyone look for something different from the usual city holiday. Approximately 1 hour from Cape Town’s City Centre the Elgin/ Grabouw Valley is a fruit farming region found in the Overberg Region of the Western Cape.

Tri Active specialize in creating special events and activities individuals and groups. Based at the foot of the “Green Land Mountain” TriActive offers a variety of activities such as Quad biking, Clay pigeon shooting, Hiking tails, Abseiling. The also have tented accommodation all tents are fitted with beds and ablution facilities. If you are thinking of overnighting there you can pre-arrange any meals that you want or pop down to one of the many restuarants in the region.

We enjoyed a morning of adventure with two field guides on Quad bikes halfway up the mountain to view different types of antelope which included Eland, Bontebok , Springbok and others. We came within less than two meters of some antelopes. In typical African style the guides were not hurried and took time to chat and share information on animals and the environment. I had never been on a quad or even dreamed of it but the guides spent time explaining the whole procedure and making sure that we were safe at all times.

Tri Active’s a funfilled place even if your just going for the day you will feel like a new person. Surrounded by Forests and Mountains this peaceful environment is the ideal place to enjoy nature.

While you are in the area you have to pop into one of the many apple and wine farms and enjoy their fruits. It is definately a great place to visit with your whole family
