The Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston

After a long day of touring, the Bristol Lounge in the Four Seasons Hotel Boston   (200 Boylston St., 617-338-4400) (view location) is a much appreciated oasis of calm.    Ideally located on the edge of the Public Garden, the Four Seasons is just blocks from all the best that Boston has to offer.    Elegantly refined, yet unpretentious, the Bristol Lounge has been called “Boston’s Living Room”  and with its floor to ceiling windows, comfy couches and armchairs , and working fireplace, it is a very nice living room indeed!

The Bristol Lounge is a large space and buzzing  with activity throughout the day and into the night. For lunch,  order the  Bristol sandwich-  chicken, fonduta , and candied onion with horseradish Boursin aioli. Dinner fare favors New American cuisine like plank-roasted salmon and baby beets or beef sirloin with crispy okra and wild greens.

After work, the Bristol Lounge is one of Boston’s best kept secrets.  Share with friends lobster fondue, a plate of sliders, or a trio of  french fries-truffle, rosemary and barbecue.

Afternoon Tea in the Bristol Lounge will make any visitor feel very special- and it’s  offered every day from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. There is a Viennese dessert buffet on Friday and Saturday evening from 9 PM- midnight which features 30 decadent desserts and  makes a wonderful way to cap off an evening on the town.   And on Sundays, the Bristol Lounge has a popular Sunday brunch.
