Manny Pacquiao: 2008 Fighter of the Year
There is no question now that Manny Pacquiao has earned the right to be called one of the Philippines (if not the world’s) best boxer of modern times. He has proven over and over how great a fighter he is, and not just in one division mind you. Manny’s defeat of Oscar de la Hoya was the icing on the cake of his victories.
Well, the Boxing Writers Association of America has voted Pacquiao as the Fighter of the Year!
Way to go, Manny! You make the Philippines proud.
Check out the awards night at the annual BWAA dinner on June 12 in . Maybe Manny can visit some local Fil-Am groups. Now that would be a treat!
