Food Festivals Galore

The South Beach Wine and Food Festival has come and gone, but no worries, as there are many more to come and I can barely count them all.  If you are on the hunt for a new restaurant find, and want to sample food from both local and celebrity chefs, mark your calendars for these upcoming events.

  • Coral Gables Wine and Food Festival, March 26th: Republic National and Crown Wine and Spirits present this 6th annual festival benefiting the American Lung Association of Florida and The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Taking place on the 100 block of Giralda Avenue, over 30 restaurants in Coral Gables will feature delicious items from their menu including Cacao, Novecento and Ortanique on the Mile. Tickets are $50, VIP tickets are $150. Buy your tickets online.
  • Taste of Martin County, March 31st: Enjoy the specialties of some of Martin County’s top chefs at Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City. In addition to food, drink, live music, children’s activities, there will be a silent auction held to benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Martin County. Advanced Tickets are $35 for one, two for $50 and $40 per ticket at the gate. Children ages 5-12 are free. Tickets are available at Big Brothers, Big Sisters office and at Hammock Creek.   • Swedish Enchantment, April 4th: The Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History brings celebrity Swedish Chef, Anna Mosesson of Great Britain in for an afternoon lunch served by the bite. This event is an ode to Swedish culture, history, lifestyle, fashion and interior design presented by the Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History. The Swedish Enchantment event will include a museum curated exhibit of Swedish fashions and furniture sponsored by Nordstrom. Tickets are $150 (regularly priced at $200, just mention you are with Dine Magazine) and include an autographed copy of Chef Anna’s book. Call 561-243-2662 for tickets.
  • Legacy Place Food & Wine Experience, April 23rd: Sample culinary creations from some of Palm Beach County’s most popular restaurants including Sunset Grill, Leila Restaurant and John Bull English Pub, and enjoy a large selection of wine provided by Total Wine & More. This event will benefit the American Lung Association. The event takes place in Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and tickets are $40 in advance. Buy your tickets today.
  • Las Olas Wine and Food Festival, May 1-2: This culinary street festival, taking place on Las Olas attracts food and wine lovers alike. With over 60 restaurants participating, you will be thoroughly delighted with the culinary treats available. Some of the featured restaurants include Himmarshee Bar & Grille, 3030 Ocean and Trina. There will be a few wine dinnest on Friday, May 1st and the festival will take place on the 2nd. Tickets to the street festival are $75, VIP tickets are $225. For more information, visit them online.
