Budget Stay in a Railway Carriage

Being on a budget doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a memorable stay in Sydney. Railway Square YHA offers some of the funkiest accommodation in the city for a recession-friendly price.
The cheapest rooms are actually converted railway carriages which sit on the former Platform Zero. If you’ve got a little more cash to splash around you could stay in one of the rooms in the historic 1904 main building. These days it’s been revamped into some contemporary accommodation.
It’s all pretty basic, but you can still enjoy a few luxuries like the spa pool and internet café. There’s also a self-catering kitchen, or you can walk to one of the eateries in nearby Chinatown or Darling Harbour when you’re feeling peckish.
