One of my favorite places to go for lunch in Fort Lauderdale is Himmarshee Bar & Grille. Himmarshee is located just off Las Olas Blvd on 210 SW 2nd Street. They offer a combination of indoor and outdoor dining, a sexy side bar to stop by for a drink and to listen to some music (you must try their Cucumber Watermelon Martini), a Sunday Brunch with a Bloody Mary Bar and flavored Champagnes, free wi-fi and a lunch menu that can’t be beat.
Yesterday, after a night in Miami, I stopped by Himmarshee to enjoy the Florida sun and some scrumptious cuisine. One thing that I enjoy about Himmarshee is that their lunches are very economical and consistently good. Nearly everything on the menu is around $10, and you know that whatever you order is going to taste delicious.
On this last visit, I ordered the Chicken Stir Fry. Juicy, marinated chicken breast was served over udon noodles, crisp stir-fry vegetables, crushed peanuts and a spicy orange-ginger sauce. A combination of sweet and spicy that hit me just right. Travis had the Orechiette Pasta served with a balsalmic vinegar, chicken, broccoli, garlic and cherry tomato. He enjoyed his equally as much and there was nothing left to take home with us.
In addition to the 2 dishes that we ordered, they also feature a few fish dishes, sandwiches, pizzaninis and salads to satisfy all your culinary cravings.
Two people can easily go to Himmarshee for lunch for $25, and therefore I’d like some of my readers to try it out for themselves. My Orechiette Pasta was excellent. It looked and smelled great too. Sitting outside was delightful on such a beautiful day.
Thank you for sharing this information about Himmarshee Bar and Grille as I have been anxious to get there! The chicken stir fry sounds like the perfect dish for my taste and I can’t wait to try it!
I was there once and while I loved it the creative menu, I found it expensive and have not returned. Perhaps I need to try it again? With a gift certificate?
I’ve never tried this place, if you can believe it! But that orechiette looks amazing! I love fresh pasta at a good price for lunch!
