REVIEW: Eleven Restaurant – a treat to the senses
The first Michelin star restaurant in Lisbon is set on Parque Eduardo Sétimo and is definatly a treat. With a breathless view over Lisbon and the river, inside you can expect great comfort in a sophisticated atmosphere. Tables are separated just enough to keep your tranquillity, while glassed walls take you into Jardim Amália Rodrigues, down Parque Eduardo Sétimo and into the river. This is a true venue to the senses. The sophisticated and esthetical Mediterranean cuisine is responsibility of the top chef Joaquim Koerper, who uses but the best and freshest national products available for each season. The menu changes every season and includes delicacies like black and white truffles and wild mushrooms.
Clients generally go for fish, lobster and truffle dishes. But choices go well beyond these and obviously include plenty of meat. A main course will start at € 18, and an average meal will cost around € 70. Other usual options are the Menus – the Tasting Menu includes five dishes, the Eleven Menu includes 3 and prices are € 89 and € 74.
If you like seeing the kitchen, there is a dinning table where you can see the chef himself in action. Maybe you’ll even learn something to show your friends back home.
Although somewhat expensive, this is one of the places not to miss if you really like eating.
Reservation is recomended.
