Where to find your Fasching Costume

If you’re going to partake in the Fasching festivities there is only one rule: You must come in costume! There are plenty of places to find a costume that is right for you. Try the Halloween Gore Store, there they have your typical “costume in a plastic bag” ranging in price from 20-50€. They also have a great selection of masks and costume make-up. If you’re looking for something on the cheaper end, you could of course make your own costume. Stop by the Galeria Kaufhof department store at Marienplatz where you can find a variety of ribbon, make-up, clothes etc., they will also be selling costumes. Here’s a link of costume ideas which are easy and cheap to make.

If you’re looking for something more high quality, for a costume ball, definitely check out Film und Theaterkostüme or Hera Munich Kostümverleih, both of which you can rent costumes. You can also rent costumes at the Hallowwen Gore Store, but these other two places have more elaborate and elegant options.

By clicking here, you will find the City of Munich’s recommendations of where to look for costumes, yet it is, of course, in German.
