Arnel Pineda and Journey at the Super Bowl
Arnel Pineda is back on U.S. soil to continue his performances with Journey. Yesterday, at the Super Bowl XLIII Pre-game show in Tampa, Florida, some early game fans were treated to a mini-concert by Journey.

Bad performance!!! I expect more from AP. Journey gave him the liberty to do stuff in the side but abuse his privileges buy showing up every week in various TV stations and having mini-concerts in small venues, he is nothing without Journey. He really sounds stressed out, Journey should re-evaluate his performance, because he cannot be sounding like that as the front man. I think he is overdoing him self. I just glad that he was not at the Half time, or every Filipino will be burying their heads underground with shame!
I have to agree with you there. This is definitely not one of Arnel’s best performances. His voice didn’t have that golden quality to it that I’ve heard before. I hope Arnel gives his voice a rest if he needs it.
well.he’s still good.people say he’s performance bad.but people don’t know,it could be a sounds system problem or the equipment.it is hard to sing like steve perry,at least not like jennifer hudson lipzync.people don’t know,singing live is very difficult.especially millions people watching you..i consider this not bad at all. just keep up the good work…..good luck on your asian tour…i know you guys will doing well on your tour…best of luck….
As a Canadian, I had never heard of Arnel and didn’t know about the change in Journey. When I saw the Superbowl show, I was transfixed and have not been able to get enough of Arnel ever since. I don’t know what it is, but I think he’s terrific!!! Best of luck to him and Journey.
As I’ve said “Arnel is strained singing with different bands different style of music and with different audience. Lani’s band sings pop music and He should’nt even be there in the first place.Everyone is using Arnels fame. Where are they when this poor guy needs thier attention. Journey put your fame. They exploit his talent way too much. how many bands is he in? moonlighting is not good for him. P.I. local artist are just using his popularity and that will be his damnation. from Canada
Too much exploitation and too much exposure. That will be the consequence. You can’t blame people slandering your name. you’re just being used. That’s what showbiz in philippines. Sorry my friend!!!!
I hope that Arnel doesn’t feel obligated to be on all these shows. I know he’s grateful for the support that he has been shown, but it may be time for him to be more picky about his appearances. His voice needs rest for it to always be at its best.

arnel is the pride of filipinos and he did the best performance in the superbowl and for the PINOY 1 here is for YOU, YOU can bury your head . BUT YOU ARE NOT SPEAKING FOR ALL FILIPINOS , if he sings in the HALF TIME THAT WILL BE THE PRIDE FOR FILIPINOS and this will be really, really COOL. except you, so don’t be talking for all.

Baby E., To let you know, I am a Journey Fan, Arnel signed with the band to be with Journey. Of course, I also proud that he happens to be a Filipino. But, agreed with everybody else and Arnel personally agreed that he did not give the best he can and remember this should be the best performance of his life but DID NOT deliver his best because his mini-concerts and local TV and artist. YOU are an AP fan and thats it. YOU don’t care about JOURNEY as were are. YOU don’t care if Arnel show up in every venue you ever laid your eyes on. YOU Don’t care if he sings all Journey songs with Lani, Zsa, Martin, Sharon and everyone he encounters, that’s an ensult to Journey and it’s fan. He DOES NOT need to do that, when I see Arnel I see JOURNEY. So, go on and by every Arnel tickets and follow him around. YES! the Philippines, ABS-CBN and his manager are ridding on his celebrity and including YOU!. We’re you guys when he was struggling artist? SP left Journey with a legacy, he should be the same. Not recognizing as an individual artist. I’am sick and tried that AP gets all the credit! AP is Journey and Journey is AP remember that. I bet you if Arnel will go down like SP, (remember him leaving Journey and recorded his own, no one knew him.) Steve A, lost his voice and Sotto got fired) None of you guys will even give him a second chance. He needs Journey as his priority and NOT pleasing EVERY AP fans like you, so he can self distruct. Journey is what has made AP what he is now! Journey fans expect the best from him! I will support AP as a Journey front man, but NOT as an individual singing with LANI and the rest of the local artist. Pinoy2009 your right. Actually I’m expecting this again to happen and see this ridiculous over filipino pride comments. *which makes me burry my head* Just like flip boxer Pacquiao. Example: I am a regular in this boxing forum before pacquiao became household name in the Phil. At that time there are few filipino members in there. Then when Paquaio beats Barrera and Morales and became a talk of the town, I was surprise of all these “filipino” sounding aliases popping up in this forum and making Topics like Paquiao is the best boxer in the world better than Mike Tyson and Holyfield etc. And they where actually serious about it. Geez Talking about respect to the hardcore members and to the older boxers. . And I said WTF! Which makes the forumites giving harsh comments to each other and creating a mess in the forum. . Thats what you get from a corrupt country like ours. our people are like zombies. . so ***** masses
