Arlington, Virginia-based recently relocated to Washington, DC from City. Karen, the Artistic Director, knows DC well, as she studied dance at George Mason University and graduated at the age of just 19. She danced with several DC area troupes before moving to the
Big Apple, where she honed her dance and choreography skills dancing with various modern dance companies for close to ten years. she also worked as a rehearsal director at the famous Juilliard School.
Her modern dance troupe will perform a variety of pieces at Dance Place, including Sleepwalking, a piece commissioned for the Kennedy Center’s Arts Local Project.
The highlight piece, Sleepwalking, explores the magical and surreal world of sleeping and dreaming. Another piece, Path of Attraction, is a duet that explores the often opposing and conflicting ingredients that make up human attraction.

Tickets – $22.00, $5.00 less for Seniors, students, teachers (PreK-12), professional artists, kids under 18 – $8.00 and are available
