Filipino student invited to Obama inauguration
This thing is like the solar eclipse. It could happen only once in a lifetime, and Paul Michael Cruz is not about to miss it.
Two Filipino students have been invited by the University Presidential Inaugural Conference (UPIC) to witness the January 20 oath-taking of US President Barak Obama, with a front seat ticket and a White House gala in the package.
Paul Michael Cruz and Anna Liwanag, former students of Reedley International School in Quezon City, have been selected by UPIC for their outstanding achievements during a young leaders conference in 2007 in Washington DC. Unfortunately, Liwanag will not be able to make the trip because of a medical condition. Cruz, however, has his tuxedo packed and ready.
The Inquirer.net interviewed Cruz about this experience and what he will ask Obama when he sees him.
