Film Fest: Friday and Saturday

Friday’s first gala, at 6:30, is called Loss of a Teardrop and is based on a screenplay by Tennessee Williams. The film stars Ellen Burstyn, who is not confirmed, but that doesn’t mean that the blonde beauty won’t show. The second gala of the evening is The Good, The Bad, The Weird and has a title strange enough that it’s worth checking out. Unless you’re up on your Korean movie stars you probably won’t know the cast but a Western with what critics are calling a "Kimchi twist"? Why not! Catch it Saturday at the Visa Screening Room at 2:30 if you can’t get tickets to the gala.

The Canadian/UK production, Stone of Destiny screens at 8:00 without any big names on the red carpet (the week is definitely winding down) but that doesn’t mean that all the celebs are gone. Take one last stroll through Yorkville, pass by the swanky  Bloor Street hotels and if that fails, well, go see them on the big screen.
